A man's angry outburst over a closed Taco Bell lobby has gone viral on TikTok, as he vented his frustration about not being able to enjoy a delicious Mexican pizza inside the restaurant and instead having to eat a pizza that smelled like "sh..t" in his car.
The video features TikToker Alex Pearlman's outrage at the lack of employees at Taco Bell, resulting in him having to suffer through the smell of their Mexican pizza in his car.
Beginning the video, he reminds viewers that the reason behind the combination of KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut is that Pepsi couldn't compete with Coca-Cola in the fast food industry.
Alex further explains that Pepsi's unofficial slogan was "Is Pepsi okay?" because every restaurant was turning them down in favor of Coke, which was the more popular choice among customers.
And when Pepsi realized it was cheaper to buy KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut than to compete with Coca-Cola, they bought those large chains and started running them as a division of Pepsi and eventually spun it off as Yum Brands.
He notes that if you visit any of the KFC, Taco Bell, or Pizza Hut locations, they still only serve Pepsi.
Yum Brands realized it would be more cost-effective to combine some of these restaurants to reach a larger market with fewer physical locations.
His suggestion is that the idea of merging fast-food restaurants was so “genius” that they saw how much money they could save by eliminating the number of locations
They then used those savings to lobby both the federal government in Washington and state governments to keep the minimum wage low, ensuring they could continue to pay employees “dirt wages” and give more money to shareholders.
He believes that this is the reason why the Taco Bell dining area was closed when he visited.
In the video, Alex explodes in anger over the fact that, due to Pepsi losing the soda war to Coca-Cola in the 70s, he now has to deal with the bad smell of Mexican pizza in his Nissan Rogue.
When Alex arrived at Taco Bell, he discovered that the restaurant's lobby was closed because there wasn't enough staff, which meant he couldn't dine inside and enjoy his Mexican pizza.
According to Alex, the minimum wage, which is only $7.25 in Pennsylvania, is to blame for this issue, as it makes it difficult for fast-food businesses to hire and retain employees. “Because nobody wants to work at Taco Bell for f...king minimum wage,” he explains.

He expressed his frustration that although Taco Bell's Mexican pizza tastes delicious, he didn't want to eat it in his car because it smelled “sh..t,” adding that he wasn't able to eat his Mexican pizza inside nor access the bathrooms, all because they didn't have enough staff to keep the lobby open.
Placing the entire blame on Pepsi losing the soda war to Coca-Cola in the 70s, Alex concluded the video by saying, “Pepsi couldn't f...king compete with Coca-Cola back in 1973, so I had to eat a f...king Mexican pizza in my car. And now my Nissan Rogue smells like sh..t.”
