“Can I wipe...?”: Man gets arrested in the middle of "doing his business" on the toilet for saying he was going to "blow up" the 7-Eleven bathroom

Using a convenience store bathroom for personal needs can be uncomfortable, but it becomes worse when law enforcement officers interrupt you in the middle of a bowel movement and try to arrest you, without even allowing you to wipe.

In a TikTok video that has garnered more than 17 million views, law enforcement officials can be seen entering a 7-Eleven restroom and catching a man in the middle of his business.

The TikTok user @theinsurrectionist recorded the entire awkward encounter with law enforcement officials, who were prepared for action as they opened the bathroom door.

In anticipation of a potential escalation, law enforcement officials have riot shields and loaded pepper ball guns at the ready, much to the shock of the man who just was trying to take a dump.

In the background of the video, the OP can be heard saying, "What the f...ck, man?"

“Stand up,” one officer commands him, “Let's get this taken care of. We're not having this discussion.”

The unlucky man's situation goes from bad to worse as officers demand that he get off the toilet and pull up his pants, without even allowing him to wipe, despite his multiple requests to do so.

The uncomfortable situation turned out to be a complete misunderstanding.

The uncomfortable situation apparently occurred because he said was going to blow up the 7-Eleven bathroom. Someone at the 7-Eleven overheard this and decided to call the police.

However, the man likely didn't intend to mean that kind of "blow up."

Throughout the series of videos, the OP can be seen begging the cops to let him clean himself up before being arrested.

Despite his repeated requests, even saying "It's almost there. Hold on, please," the officers deny him permission to wipe before pulling up his pants.

“I’ve got irritable bowel syndrome, man,” he tells the cops, “I’m not making it up, do you not smell my a-s?”

Again, they turned down his request. In response, the man made a wise decision to follow their instructions rather than risk being shot in the bathroom. He stands and seems to pull up his pants before facing them with his hands raised.

The video cut off at that point, so it's uncertain what occurred afterward, but several viewers in the comments speculate that the entire incident was a staged prank intended to go viral, particularly because it's unusual for anyone to think about filming the police in such a situation.

“Who even records in a moment like this?” one viewer questioned.

“Why are the cops calling him bro?” a second commented.

“What did bro do to get apprehended on the toilet?” a third wondered.

“Bro is holding a paintball gun,” a fourth viewer observed, referring to one of the officers in the video.

“Got a sneaking suspicion that we’re missing some important context here,” a fifth wrote.

“I've had some pretty intense bowel moments but I've never had one so bad the cops were called,” a sixth shared.

In the event that this wasn't a prank, let's hope they gave him permission to wipe before taking him away in handcuffs. Otherwise, the smell emanating from the back of the police car would be unimaginable.
