As bad as this sounds, the truth is we won't be seeing Kanye West perform at this year's Grammy Awards as his recent online behavior has earned him a rare tag (of a bully) amongst celebrities. Well, the organizers of the Grammy event are yet to address the issue with an official statement.
With Instagram placing a ban on Kanye West’s official account on the platform over the use of a racial slur at the Daily Show host Trevor Noah, West’s list of problems keeps increasing as the day goes by.
In his words, Noah said, "You may not feel sorry for Kim because she's rich and famous, but what she's going through is terrifying to watch and shines a spotlight on what so many women go through when they choose to leave."
After the entire social media squabble, it was revealed that Kanye, who now goes by the name Ye, was banned from performing at the Grammy, set to hold at MGM Grand Arena on Sunday, April 3rd, 2022 at 8 pm.
Noah, who happened to be the host of the 64th annual Grammy Awards, took to Twitter and tried to clear the air. “I said to counsel Kanye, not cancel Kanye.” He tweeted.
While this might come as a surprise to many; however, with the recent controversies and altercations surrounding the superstar, his ex-wife, Kim, and her lover, Pete Davidson, it’s only in everyone’s best interest that the organizers of the Award Event take this measure.
Kanye has released a couple of songs (hurricane, Donda) directed at his ex-wife Kim and the kids. He even went extra miles to ensure he stays a few miles around by purchasing a house directly across the street from the Hidden Hills, which he had shared with Kim for $421,000.

In a heart-wrecking post on Instagram, The Game, another singer who collaborated with Kanye in his song “Eazy”, came to his aid with this lengthy caption.
“Time & time again, they show us that they only want to STEAL the culture, not allow you ever be their equals. In a more than obvious move for reasons of minuscule actions. The Grammys have, at the last minute decided to pull @kanyewest from performing on the show as if we didn’t know it was coming.
Could be because @trevornoah is hosting and there was a conversation held amongst his team & the academy that led to the decision, or because Ye’s account was suspended just days ago for reasons unknown, especially in a world where all the negativities of the world can be found on the same app with no repercussions or suspensions.
We’ll just say it’s all of the above & a continuous disrespect for us & all that we have brought to the table in entertainment, media & sports over the last 100 years especially.”
Regardless of what’s happening at the moment, we can't stop giving credit to Kanye West for his contributions to the American entertainment world. YE, for one, has been a big part of the entertainment. Ye's acceptance speeches at the Grammy are still known and regarded as one of the best inspirational speeches ever.
A typical example is his acceptance speech for Best Rap Album at the 47th GRAMMY Awards on 13th February, 2005, in Los Angeles.
"Y'all might as well get the music ready, cause this finna take a while. When I had my accident, I found out at that moment nothing in life is promised except death. If you have the opportunity to play this game of life, you need to appreciate every moment. A lot of people don't appreciate their moment until it's passed. And then you gotta tell those Al Bundy stories… ‘You remember when I...?’ But then, right now is my time and my moment. Thanks to the fans, thanks to the accident, thanks to God, thanks to Roc-A-Fella, Jay Z, Dame Dash, Gee, my mother, Rhymefest, everyone that's helped me. And I plan… I plan to celebrate. I plan to celebrate and scream and pop champagne every chance I get because I'm at the GRAMMYs, baby. I know every… I know everybody asked me the question. They wanted to know, what Kanye? I know he's gon' wild out and he's gon' do something crazy. Everybody wants to know what I'd do if I didn't win. I guess we'll never know."
