In the 64-year history of the BillBoard Hot 100 songs chart, Taylor Swift is the only one to claim all top 10 spots, surpassing even Drake, who claimed 9 out of the 10 spots back in September 2021 for a solid week.

This historic win has everyone talking about the artist’s success, as she has been the only one, ever, to achieve such a feat. Her song “Anti-Hero” being in the #1 spot for several weeks.

It’s no surprise then that with great success comes many bitter individuals who cannot stand to see Swift’s record-breaking win.

The aforementioned artist, Drake, is the most notable of the bunch. The 36-year-old has taken it upon himself to throw ‘shade’ at the entertainer by covering her name and song title in emojis in a screenshot of the BillBoard Hot 100 list.

He even went as far as to unfollow the artist on Twitter, further solidifying that Swift’s win bothered him.

The thing that has everyone the most confused is Drake’s easy-going and loving support of 21 Savage, who claimed every spot on the BillBoard Hot 100 list except #1 and #10.

Drake

On Instagram, he posted an image of the Billboard Hot 100 list and captioned the image, “@21savage congrats my brother”. A notable difference in his treatment of Swift’s success.

Drake’s producer, Vinylz, has also taken a jab at Swift, according to Jezebel. In a screenshot he shared on his Instagram stories, he wrote, “The world knows what the real #1 song is… #RichFlex…No tricks on this side.”

One thing this entire situation highlights is that no matter how many songs Drake sings in seeming support of women, such as “Make Me Proud”, there will always be an inherent view he has of women that is meant to degrade and belittle us.

Or, at the very least, continues to elevate himself – and other men – above us.
