Richard Engle, 61, was arrested by the Oklahoma City police for robbing a local Starbucks. The man took $1 from the shop, though his aim was $1.25, the same amount his wife asked for as a refund.
The Worst Robbery In History?
The Edmond-based man and his wife went to the popular coffee chain. The wife asked for a refund for a drink she recently purchased but was denied. This is when things escalated.
Starbucks workers told the wife to talk to the corporate office. But Engle swiftly took out one dollar as they were getting out of the café.
The store employees called the police, who soon identified the suspect. It was quite easy since the Starbucks workers took pictures of his car's registration plate.

Engle Was Charged with Robbery and Assault
Engle was put in custody for robbery and assault charges. He was picked up from his home.
The police confirmed that the man took one dollar, as the eyewitness confirmed that Engle wanted to refund his wife's drink by dipping his hand into the tip jar.
As the employee was taking a picture of the license plate, Engle backed his vehicle into the employee a few times, police alleged.
Previously, Starbucks workers went on strike for three days, with over 1000 baristas leaving around 100 shops closed.
Though the crime was not a laughing matter, there was a sense of chivalry displayed by Mr. Engle, who was eager to refund his wife's drink no matter what. Hopefully, the judge will see it that way, and the man will not try to repeat his actions.
