Cheating is one of those things that seem universally unforgivable. And for the few people out there in the world who can manage to forgive their unfaithful partners understand that it is something that requires time, effort, and healing, from both parties.
One woman posted on the AITA (Am I The A...hole?) subreddit to express her complications over a situation she is having with her ex-boyfriend of 2 years, Mike, after the discovery of an affair in her relationship. She was the one who cheated.
Not only did she cheat on him, but she was also refusing to give him back the things he left in her house while they were still in the relationship.
Mutual Friend Is The One Who Told Her Ex That She Was Cheating
Her post starts off by explaining that she and her boyfriend had a mid-distance relationship and they never got to see much of each other.
A long-distance relationship can be hard for anyone, so she mentions that there was some miscommunication. However, she continues that she “ended up cheating on him with a friend.”
Apparently, her now ex-boyfriend found out through a mutual friend of theirs and ended up “calling it off”.
The woman explains that she knows what she did was wrong, but that this isn’t what her post is about.
She continues that ‘Mike’ left a few things at her house and he asked her if she would visit him, or at least meet him halfway to drop his things off so he could get them.
In her post, she asks, “why should I travel for hours to drop his things off?”

Ex-Boyfriend Tries To Find A Way To Get His Stuff Back, But OP Comes Up With Any Excuse She Can Find
According to the post, the boyfriend tells the OP (Original Poster) that since he spent a lot of money to visit her as often as he could toward the end of their relationship, she should be willing to do at least this.
But the OP holds firm to her decision that she will not travel to meet him. So he asked her if she would at least mail his things to him. The woman claims that because of the value of his items, she refused out of fear that something would “get lost in the mail”.
The OP ends the post by saying that she vented to her friends about the matter, and while they understand where she’s coming from, she’s ultimately being very selfish. So she inquires about the situation on the internet, which – unfortunately for her – didn’t go as planned either.
The majority of the commenters deemed her as the one who is in the wrong.
