Marjorie Taylor Greene claims that the US president, Joe Biden, should be impeached for visiting Ukraine.
The tweet comes after Biden's surprise visit to the war-torn country, the first after Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine almost a year ago. During the visit, Biden promised further sanctions for Russia and new military assistance for Ukraine.
In a tweet, Taylor Green, Georgia Representative, wrote, "Biden didn’t go to East Palestine, Ohio on President’s Day. He went to Ukraine, a NON-NATO nation, whose leader is an actor and is apparently now commanding our United States military to world war."
She concluded, "We must impeach this America Last fool before it’s too late."

Representative Matt Gaetz from Florida added, "On Presidents’ Day, I’m not surprised that Biden is ditching America for Ukraine." Ron De Santis, a likely candidate for the Republican party for elections 2024, said Biden was "neglecting" America.
Many commentators called out Representative Taylor Green, as one person wrote, "I have an idea. You and Trump go and visit Putin. Let’s see how that goes."
Others reminded her that the US already had an actor for President and showed the Representative the photo of Ronald Reagan.
Some were supportive, writing, "We didn’t elect him in the first place."
This visit is unprecedented in modern history since American Presidents do not travel to an active war zone without a significant US military presence. The symbolic visit is supposed to boost Kyiv, as Biden said:
“One year later, Kyiv stands. And Ukraine stands. Democracy stands."
This is not the first time Marjorie Taylor Greene called for Biden's impeachment. Marjorie Taylor Greene and several other GOP lawmakers bashed the President for bringing home Brittney Griner earlier in 2022.

She also called for impeachment after classified documents from his time as vice president were discovered.
The latest tweet regarding Biden and Zelensky's meeting gathered nearly 5k retweets so far and has over half a million views.
On the same day, February 20, Taylor Green tweeted, "We need a national divorce. We need to separate by red states and blue states and shrink the federal government."
She also shared this idea of "national divorce" in 2021.
