It appears that Trump's lawyers are using "Melania Defense" in the alleged hush-money payment, which is now in the hands of Manhattan prosecutors.
But, several people, including Trump's biographer, Tim O'Brien, spoke about how the former president fears his third wife.
Tim O'Brien said on MSNBC's Deadline: White House, "I don't think he was only worried about his campaign potentially getting blown up. I think he was also worried about his marriage getting blown up."
O'Brien Is Not The Only One Who Made These Claims
O'Brien, who wrote the 2004 biography, "TrumpNation: The Art of Being The Donald," added how Trump has a long history of cheating on his wives. He also explained, "I think he was probably more afraid at that point of Melania Trump than he was of the electorate, so he had the motivation to try and get this out of the way."
Kellyanne Conway, who was a senior aid in Trump's administration, testified to the House panel investigating the Capitol riot. She claimed, "He reserves — he listens to many of us, but he reserves fear for one person, Melania Trump."

Trump Denied Affairs with Daniels and Karen McDougal
Daniels claims they had an affair in 2006, a year after Trump tied the knot with his third wife, Slovenian-born model Melania. It was also four months after the couple had their son, Barron Trump. Daniels claims they met at a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe.
But she is not the only woman who claimed that she had an affair with the former president. A former Playboy model, Karen McDougal, said she was seeing Trump in 2015, and Michael Cohen confirmed that she also received the money.
Trump denied both affairs but paid Stormy just before the 2016 elections.

Melania's Advisor and Former Friend Speaks Up
However, Melania's former friend Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who was also the former first lady's advisor, tweeted that Melania knew about her husband's alleged affair with Daniels — before he ordered his then-fixer Michael Cohen to pay the porn star $130,000 to buy her silence.
Winston Wolkoff tweeted, "'Melania Defense' in Stormy Daniels Hush-Money case WON'T WORK. Why not? Melania Trump knew…"
The former friend is also the author of the book, "Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with the First Lady," published in 2020.
Trump's lawyer Joe Tacopina was a guest at several talk shows. Though he often refrained from answering the hosts' questions, he repeated that Trump is a "victim of extortion" in the Stormy Daniels case.
