Tracy Vanderhulst, a high school math teacher, was arrested and charged with statutory rape after it was revealed she was involved with a 16-year-old student.
The Fox host shared his two cents

Gutfeld said, "OK, this 38-year-old math teacher in California was once named teacher of the year — and I support that — was arrested and booked into jail for allegedly having sex with a 16-year-old male student. She posted bail, but this is what bothers me."
The co-host tried to jump in

The co-host Kat Timpf wondered if "what bothered" her coworker was that a teacher was having sex with a teen boy. However, he responded, "No, that she went to jail for it!" He continued, "I'm sorry! Come on! 16 years old — I would have died for that!"

She said, Again, I am vehemently against banging kids," adding, "I can't believe how many times I've had to say that just sitting in this chair."

Gutfeld said, "Let’s live in the real world, Kat." He continued, "A 16-year-old boy! 16-year-old boy with like a hot teacher. You’re, I mean — what was the Van Halen song? Hot for teacher? That was written about this!"

The host added that the song was not about " let’s have a responsible relationship with someone close to my age." Media Matters shared the whole exchange, with Gutfeld concluding, "Am I right to say it’s an unfair comparison to do the female-to-male teacher? Like a male teacher, 38-year-old, creepy. Female, heroic."
Not the first time Fox News promoted child abuse

The recently fired host, Tucker Carlson, once joked about his daughter and other underage girls experimenting at boarding schools: "If it weren’t my daughter, I would love that scenario.” He defended Warren Jeffs before the polygamist was convicted of arranging illegal underage marriages.
