Footage allegedly showing a mechanic driving a customer's car to McDonald's has recently gone viral, generating a lot of buzz and debate online.

A world without mechanics would be a chaotic and dangerous place - they're the skilled professionals who understand the ins and outs of cars and are able to keep them running smoothly and prevent disasters from striking.

These heroes have a challenging job that demands their best effort and focus, and while they might grab a Big Mac to power through their day, taking a customer's car to McDonald's for lunch is definitely not the norm.

A video posted by @euqir78 with the text overlay, “When you take your car for an inspection. After a ten-minute walk, you find the mechanic at McDonald's 🤡🤡🤡,” has gone viral with over 21 million views as of February 23rd.

The video starts with the OP filming inside a McDonald's, claiming that a man leaving with food and drink is his mechanic.

He follows the mechanic with the camera until he reaches a car that the OP claims to have dropped off for inspection. “He's driving my car after I dropped it off to get inspected, and they drove my car to McDonald's.'"

The mechanic then gets inside the car and drives away, leaving the OP speechless and unsure of how to react to what he just saw.

He then turns to viewers and asks, 'What do I do?' in the hope that they could provide him with a solution.

With tens of thousands of comments on the video since its posting, many viewers offered solutions to the OP's question, often with a touch of humor.

“Trust the process,” one advised.

“Ask for free oil changes for life,” a second suggested.

“They have to test drive it why not grab McDonalds if its right there. Hard workers” a third wrote, while another pointed out, “It’s illegal, he can sue them if he wants.”

Several commenters tried to reassure the OP by saying that what he experienced was not unusual. One user wrote, “that’s very common,” while another chimed in, “all mechanics do that. Dealers, sts , mavis.”

Some argued that the OP shouldn't be upset with his mechanic for driving to McDonald's in his car, as it's part of the job to test the vehicle anyway.

“That's a part of the inspection,” one commented.

“Can't be mad. They had to drive it anyway,” a second agreed.

“You ever tried testing a tv without turning it on?” a third hinted.

But no matter how you look at it, it's mostly agreed upon that seeing their car being used for a quick fast food run during an inspection is far from ideal.
