Former President Donald Trump recently announced his new book, "Letters From Trump." The book is set to be a collection of private letters from politicians, celebrities, and royals.
Coming soon
"Letters From Trump" is going to be released on April 25. Among many famous names, the ones that stand out the most have to be Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Clinton, Queen Elizabeth II, and Kim Jong Un. But another royal figure will also appear in the book - the late Lady Diana.
The Letters Might Be "Embarrassing" But Not "Compromising"
Newsweek claims the letters might be "embarrassing." They cited royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams who said, "It is possible it (the letter) might contain embarrassing material. However, Fitzwilliams believes it will not be anything compromising "Diana apparently viewed him with disdain."
Expensive gifts
In the past decades, many reports suggested that Trump pursued Lady Diana. Journalist Selena Scott wrote that Trump "bombarded Diana at Kensington Palace with massive bouquets of flowers, each worth hundreds of pounds."

Lady Di - The Ultimate Trophy Wife
Scott suggested that the former president saw Lady Di as "the ultimate trophy wife."
As Scott said, Lady Diana did not like this behavior. Scott wrote, "As the roses and orchids piled up at her apartment, she became increasingly concerned about what she should do. It had begun to feel as if Trump was stalking her."
They met in the early 90s
Lady Diana met Donald Trump in the early 90s or late 80s. He mentioned her in his 1997 book, "The Art Of Comeback," saying, "I only have one regret in the women department—that I never had the opportunity to court Lady Diana Spencer."
Trump's Previous Remarks Were Quite Disturbing
Fitzwilliams reminded that Trump previously said some less-than-flattering things about Lady Diana, adding, "it must be borne in mind that since his behavior has been so bizarre, both when he was in office and after leaving it, that it is highly unlikely there will be a public response to whatever his book contains."
The book from 2022 about King Charles III also wrote about Trump's desires to court the late mother of Prince William and Prince Harry.
Bragging
Author Christopher Andersen wrote in his book "The King: The Life of Charles III" that it did not help how Trump aggressively pursued Prince Diana after the divorce, adding how Trump "claimed later on a radio program that he could have 'nailed her if I wanted to,' but only if she passed an HIV test."
Social Media Users Are Not Amused
Social media users mostly found publishing the letters of the late Diana to show signs of bad taste. A Reddit commenter said, "I wonder if he grabbed her by the pu...y," echoing the infamous Donald Trump Access Hollywood tape.
Classy guy
Another shared, "It's Diana. Super cool Trump feels necessary to drag her through the mud. Classy guy."
The third chimed in, "Like anybody is going to drop $99 on his pitiful attempt at a book…"
Trump Talked About Lady Diana on Howard Stern
The Daily Beast published extracts from a 1997 interview between Trump and Howard Stern. The two talked about Lady Diana weeks after she died in a car crash in Paris.
Stern said, "Why do people think it's egotistical of you to say you could've gotten with Lady Di? You could've gotten her, right? You could've nailed her."
Talking to Piers Morgan, Trump denied he had any interest in Lady Di.

The Legal Issues
"Letters to Trump" will be Ex-President Donald Trump's second official book since leaving the White House.
Many wondered about the legal side of publishing someone's letters. The publishing house assured the public that everything had been taken care of.
The book will contain over 150 letters hand-picked by the former president.
Crossing the line?
Though the Palace will undoubtedly stick to "never complain, never explain," do you think Trump is crossing the line by attaching Lady Diana's name to his book?
