The heat of royalty exceeds what the eye sees. People love the glamor that comes with it. But then, there are several rules that royals must follow.

In this piece, we’ll be looking at a fragment of those rules.

1. Do Away with Bright Colored Nail Polish

This might come as a surprise, but brightly colored nail polish is off the peg for any royal member, which is why you'll never spot Her Royal Highness wearing it.

So, instead of bright color, the queen would most appreciate a sheer ballet pink color.

2. Keep Up the Queen's Pace at the Dining Table

Ever wondered what it’s like to eat with the queen? I mean, having a plate of your favorite dessert on the table. Well, here’s the thing.

No one touches their food until the queen begins, and also, they get to stop the very moment the queen drops her spoon.

3. No Autograph

Out of curiosity, one might want to know if it’s a crime for royals to give autographs. Maybe it is, maybe it’s not, but the royal family members do not sign autographs.

There are probably a lot of reasons for this. For instance, this rule limits the chances of forgery or fraud.

4. Heirs aren't Permitted to Fly Together

Life is full of uncertainties. Sometimes tragedy strikes, so, in a bid to limit the chances of the death of more than one royal member, heirs do not fly together.

5. Shellfish? Don’t Dream of It

No! This has nothing to do with the countless allergies associated with shellfish consumption.

However, it’s somehow related to it. Shellfish pose a huge risk of food poisoning, and asides from that, the royal family mostly avoids rarely cooked meats.

6. No Show of Cleavage

Oftentimes, the female member of the royal family wear stockings, and you'll never find any one of them exposing their cleavage. Immodest dresses are never an option.

7. The prince can't Walk with His Wife

Unlike the president or other members of the society, the prince must walk two steps behind his wife, fulfilling the order of precedence.

8. Three Handshake Pumps are Enough

For men, pumping a fist multiple times during a handshake might not seem like a big deal; however, for royals, they do not fail to halt at the third pump.

9. Public Display of Affection is not for Royals

Forget what you see in movies. No member of the royal family does that.

At the same time, this doesn't mean they can't act lovey-dovey or express their romantic side; they certainly can, but not in public.

10. Take the Selfie Stick Elsewhere

How gorgeous selfie sticks are, but royals aren't permitted to use them for two reasons. First, it’s a bash on security protocol.

Also, it’s unacceptable for commoners to turn their backs on a royal family member.

11. Royals don't go Political

No! They can't vote and be voted for.

Royals are to retain their neutrality and be the bridge between the people and all sections of society.

12. They Get a New Official Name

As in the case of Meghan Markle becoming the Duchess of Sussex and Kate Middleton becoming Duchess of Cambridge, this is what happens when one becomes royal.
